Jeep Safari Ranthambore

Ranthambore National Park is one of the best places to explore different kinds of wildlife during a tiger safari. Jungle Safari is a major attraction and one of the most popular options to spot animal movement and admire the beautiful landscape in Ranthambhore Tiger Reserve. Green Safari and Tours Ranthambore offers the visitor a chance to explore a variety of animals residing in the park. There are two safaris a day from October to June, one starting in the morning and the other late in the afternoon. The tour lasts 3 to 12 hours and is conducted by jeep (open-top roof gypsy) or canter (open-top roof bus). You will visit the park in a 20-seat open canter (top-roof bus) or a 6-seat open top roof jeep, both of which we have re-fitted and furnished for comfort and good viewing. Our trackers are from families who have known the jungle and its animals for generations.

A private Jeep safari in Ranthambhore is the best way to spot and photograph wildlife in the Ranthambore National Park. You can also choose between shared and exclusive Jeep safaris. A maximum of six tourists accompanied by a trained guide and driver are only allowed in the tiger reserve at fixed times during the morning and evening safari hours. The safari Jeeps follow a fixed route allotted to them and leave the park by the end of the appointed time. Only a limited number of safari vehicles are allowed in the park. This is to maintain the sanctity and harmony of the jungle.

Ranthambore National Park has dry deciduous and semi-arid scrub forests, which make it a special tiger habitat. The dry forest provides the best opportunity for wildlife viewing. Tigers can be seen hunting deer, their primary prey, in the open grassy regions. A glimpse of a magnificent Royal Bengal tiger is a sight that cannot be forgotten.

Ranthambore National Park Jungle Safari Types
Ranthambore National Park offers two types of jungle safaris: jeep safaris and canter safaris.

Jeep Safari
The Jeep is a 6-seater, four-wheel drive Maruti Suzuki Gypsy, while the Canter is a safari bus with a seating capacity of 20 people. Both safari vehicles are open from the top. For wildlife photography enthusiasts, a Jeep is the best option for a jungle safari. The open jeep safari provides a wonderful means of seeing the hidden treasures of the forest.

The Jeep, being a smaller safari vehicle than a Canter, is capable of traversing narrow and winding paths. A Jeep safari increases the chances of seeing tigers in Ranthambore, so it is the pride of Ranthambore. Apart from this, only 6 people can sit in the jeep, a low number means that you can request to stay in some places as per your choice.

Canter Safari
Another option for a jungle safari in Ranthambore is Canter. However, this 20-seater canter is a feasible way to explore wildlife in Ranthambore National Park. The Canter Safari is best suited for group excursions. If Ranthambore is on your travel list, you should book a jungle safari well in advance to avoid inconvenience.

Tiger sightings mostly depend on luck and are a matter of chance, but in the summer, the possibility of seeing leopards, tigers, and other wildlife greatly increases near the three lakes located in Zones 3 and 4 of Ranthambore. A three-and-a-half-hour safari at Ranthambore is a treat for those exploring the topography.
